Day 1: Arrival Ashgabat
Arrival in Ashgabat by air (evening D1 or early morning D2, depending on airline used) or overland from Iran at Bajgiran-Gaudan land border. Transfer to hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Turkmenbashi
Start with a city tour, including visits of Independence Park, Neutrality Arch, Ferris Wheel, Wedding Palace Viewpoint. In the afternoon we visit the National Museum and Turkmenbashi Mosque and Mausoleum. Transfer to train station for night train to Turkmenbashi. Overnight on bunk bed in 4-bed sleeper compartment.
Day 3: Turkmenbashi - Yangisuw
On arrival in Turkmenbashi, visit the local Russian Orthodox Church and then head out by jeep in approximately 4 hours to the canyons of Yangisuw. Overnight in tent in the Yangisuw canyon area.
Day 4: Yangisuw - Turkmenbashi - Ashgabat
Visit Yangikala canyons and Gozli Ata pilgrim site. Return in approximately 4 hours to Turkmenbashi. Transfer to airport for evening flight to Ashgabat. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Ashgabat - Darwaza
Head out into the Karakum Desert early morning. Drive by jeep to Damla remote tribal settlement. Afternoon carry on off road to Darwaza. Overnight in the yurt camp near darwaza crater.
Day 6: Darwaza - Dashoguz
Drive in 4 hours to Kunya Urgench for a visit of the UNESCO historical park. Afternoon transfer to Dashoguz. Arrival in Dashoguz by dinner time. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7: Dashoguz - Mary
Transfer to Dashoguz airport for flight to Mary. Afternoon visit Merw UNESCO historical park. Return to Mary by dinner time. Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Mary - Mashad - Shiraz
Transfer to Serakhs land border with Iran. Cross into Iran and drive to Mashhad and its airport for evening flight to Shiraz. Overnight in hotel.
Day 9: Shiraz
City tour in Shiraz, including visits to Karim Khan Palace, Vakil Mosque, Vakil Bazaar, Saraye Moshir, Nasir Almolk Mosque, the tombs of Hafez and Saadi, Ali-Ebn-e-Hamzeh, Jahan Nama Garden, Eram Garden, and the tomb of Khajoy-e-Kermani. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Shiraz - Yazd
Travel by road to Yazd with a visit of Persepolis, Nags-e Rostam and Pasargade on the way. Arrival in Yazd by dinner time. Overnight in hotel.
Day 11: Yazd
Full day to explore Yazd. Visit to Jame Mosque, Old City, Alexander’s Prison, Tomb of the 12 Imams, Dowlatabad Garden, Yazd Water Museum, confectionary and handicraft workshops . Overnight in hotel.
Day 12: Yazd - Esfahan
Travel by road to Esfahan, with visits of Ardakan and Nain on the way. Arrival in Esfahan by dinner time. Overnight in hotel.
Day 13: Esfahan
Full day to explore Esfahan. Visit to Imam Square, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Imam Mosque,Ali Qapu, Chehel Sotoun, Hasht Behesht, Bazaar. Overnight in hotel.
Day 14: Esfahan - Tehran
Another day to explore Esfahan. Visit to Jame' Mosque, Vank Cathedral, Menar Jonban, Si-o-seh pol.After dinner time, transfer to airport for evening flight to Tehran. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15: Tehran departure
Departure by air or overland to Turkey or Azerbaijan.
