Ustad Jabbar

Jabbar is the leading guide of Owadan Tourism Company with 20 years of experience. Jabbar was born and raised in Afghanistan and, being a medical doctor through education, has moved to Turkmenistan in the early 90s of the last century to joint participation in international projects. After working as a translator and coordinator for a health education project from the UK for five years, he joined a EU-financed scientific research project called DARCA (Desertification and Regeneration on Central Asian Rangelands) to study Karakum Desert of Turkmenistan for another five years. Jabbar speaks eight languages (Turkmen, English, Turkish, Persian, Urdu, Pashto, Arabic, and Uzbek); Jabbar is fond of the Eastern poetry in the original and he is a professional with an encyclopedic scope of knowledge.

He leads excursions so fascinatingly that it is impossible to move away from him even a step! He specializes in the history of Islam, knows everything about the customs and traditions of his people, tells about the architectural features of a particular landmark. Being a professional photographer, he will tell you a good camera angle or make a great memory photo himself.
